Aurora Shimshak

Writer and educator

Aurora Shimshak MFA’23 is a writer and educator from rural Wisconsin. Her work has appeared in Poetry Northwest, Southampton Review, New Ohio Review, and Shenandoah, among others. She is an MFA candidate in poetry at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and holds an MFA in nonfiction from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She teaches writing to undergraduate students, high-school students, and those incarcerated at Oakhill Correctional Institution.
