Lauren Papp
University Committee Chair, Associate Dean of Research, and Jane Rafferty Thiele Professor in Human Ecology, UW–Madison
Lauren Papp is an associate dean of research and Jane Rafferty Thiele Professor in UW–Madison’s School of Human Ecology (SoHE). Papp joined the faculty of SoHE in 2006. At SoHE, Papp teaches in the Department of Human Development & Family Studies and serves as the associate dean of research. As chair of the University Committee, Papp represents faculty interests in shared governance. Papp’s research program investigates the role of close relationships and daily experiences in shaping health and well-being across the lifespan. Papp greatly values mentoring undergraduate and graduate students and trainees in lab-based research experiences. Originally from Chicago, Papp moved to Wisconsin after graduate school at the University of Notre Dame. Papp lives in Middleton with her partner, Paul Seitz, and their three daughters, Veronica, Margaret, and Alexandra.
